Tips to Maintain a Healthy Weight

Seventy-four percent of Americans are overweight. They need to know how to maintain a healthy weight – if they want to have a healthy and happy life.

Forty-three percent of Americans are just plain obese with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or above. Obesity is now the number one cause of premature death, having lost 18 or more years of life expectancy. And the overweight who have a 25 to 29 BMI shorten their lives only 7 or 8 years.

Of course, up to 99% of those overweight are also missing one to four other essential habits necessary to maintain a healthy weight. These other 4 essential habits are:

  1. Eating 8 to 10 serving of veggies and fruit daily
  2. Exercising 30 minutes a day for at least 5 days a week
  3. Sleeping 7 or 8 hours every night
  4. Not smoking

Thus, the average fat person dies even earlier than the average American, that is before 79!

The major cause of obesity is overeating calories, carbohydrates and junk.

Of course, 80% of available food is JUNK! Virtually 100% from fast food restaurants, and about 80% of that in grocery stores is junk. Wheat, sugar, rice and potatoes are among the useless calories which help the overweight and obese stay that way. All boxed cereals and virtually everything on the center aisles in grocery stores is fake, artificial, and disease enhancing.

So how do you maintain a healthy weight?

First, eat only real food.

This means eating about 65% being veggies, 15% fruits, and 20% quality protein.

Even in meats avoid “processed” ones. In dairy avoid the hydrogenated fake ones, especially when flavored with fruit which is mostly artificial and sugar! In oils avoid all but avocado oil, virgin olive oil and coconut oil. Incidentally most plain nuts are part of the vegetable family.

Secondly, avoid at all times packaged snacks, candy, and anything that says it is a substitute.

Eat only real food and make it not more than 3 meals in a 12-hour period, finishing 2 hours before bedtime.

Avoid fluoridated water like the plague it is and drink plenty of real water.

You will want to drink roughly half your body weight in pounds in ounces of water. If you like coffee or tea, not more than a total of 2 cups daily. And NO sugar or artificial sweetener or artificial cream substitute!

Avoid sweets.

If your problem is a steady craving for sweet, get yourself some gymnema sylvestre and just put a small bit of the capsule content on our tongue. You cannot taste anything sweet for 3 or 4 hours. If this does not break your habit within a few days, take one 400 mg capsule daily for a week.

Get moving.

Add movement! If you are the usual non-exercising overweight person, and incidentally 90% of Americans get NO exercise, then try bouncing. Stand and begin gently bending your knees rhythmically, and then start circling your arms. Music conductors live longer than any other professional. Start with two minutes and each day add one minute, building to 30 minutes daily. This is one of the most simple and effective ways to improve health, lose weight and maintain a healthy weight.

Have the correct mindset for maintaining a healthy weight.
