Not since World War II has there been a moral reason for the United States to engage in war. From Korea to Vietnam to Afghanistan to Iraq the U.S. has rushed into 4 inhuman wars, killing 2.8 MILLION, 4 MILLION, 30,000+, one million respectively. No one can justify these 4 senseless and unsuccessful wars! And even today, in all 4 situations, the underlying problems that started the conflicts still fester.
Now, it is highly probable that the U.S. will invade another country, Syria. There is no justification for such an immoral act which, if it happens, will probably lead to World War III, with more casualties than the combination of World War II and the 4 since then. Where is the moral indignation?
To some extent, recognizing I cannot change the psychopaths who create wars, I am sustained by the many good souls in the world, who write and give me permission to reprint, such as this:
Gift of the Season
I cross unimagined borders and who is there in your dream?
the landscape of who I am not found among tinseled counters.
In my sense of humour in laughter in silliness in the lasting joy of sharing a sharing of one true thing.
I offer a light in dark places love without measure awareness of such.
Uncontrived praise sent sweetly, a straight answer a sense of wonder.
I am implicit belief in things to come that already are.
