MEDICATING FEELINGS

C. Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D.

As everyone who knows me is aware I consider mood drugs the most ridiculous, insane, crap every invented by depraved psychopaths. And thus about 99% of psychiatrists fall into my at best sociopathic category. But the 1% sane ones need to be acknowledged.

Julie Holland is a psychiatrist in New York and the author of “Moody Bitches: The Truth About the Drugs You’re Taking, the Sleep You’re Missing, the Sex You’re Not Having, and What’s Really Making You Crazy.”

Enough said! Feelings are PHYSICAL sensations created by thoughts.

Thus, anger, irritation, worry, sadness, joy, grief, guilt and all their numerous synonyms are more or less natural responses to fear of death, harm, abandonment, poverty, physical disability or to life itself–the existential crisis. The “cause” is basically inadequate oxytocin and some traumatic event, most often set in motion within the first 7 years and 9 months of life. No drug can correct that or even help! Activating your own oxytocin with Air Bliss is the simplest way to begin. If that does not work, then I would add autogenic training and daily use of the Fisher-Wallace Cranial Stimulator. Next in line Past Life Therapy. Next in line Energy Genesis-more on that later.
