The primary response to stress is anxiety and hypertension is just one of the side effects of stress. Stress may be physical, emotional, chemical, mental or spiritual.  The most prevalent stress in the past 18 months is the social implications of the pandemic.

But since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution we have increasingly been living in a toxic world, with poisons accumulating daily. In addition to increased radioactivity, we have glyphosate in 75% of all rain in the U.S.! That means the word organic has been erased from reality!

And, at least here in the U.S., 72% of people live in cities purposely poisoned with fluoride. Indeed, if fluoride is not removed, within 20 years there will be no more children. The current sperm count is down from 150 million 80 years ago to 40 million. Men are infertile at 20 million.

Perhaps the greatest stress is the background electromagnetic smog created by increasing electrical energy. Yet computers, TV and cell phones all add to the unnatural atmosphere. And the intensity of the spreading of false news grows daily.

We are bombarded by external stressors every single day! Is it any wonder that more and more Americans are struggling with anxiety and hypertension?

So, how do you minimize stress?

Perhaps the single best approach is to train your brain to detach from all information that you cannot personally change!  This is done by practicing Autogenic Training 18 minutes twice daily for three months. There are 28,000 scientific references to this superior technique, which is also the foundation for Biogenics®, the fountainhead Holistic perspective.

Indeed, Autogenic Training is significantly better than all anti-hypertensive drugs.

Even taking up to three anti-hypertensive drugs you have only a 45% chance of controlling hypertension!

Compare that to Autogenic Training. Done twice daily you have a 65% success rate of controlling hypertension with Autogenic Training.

The same is true for anxiety. There is no safe and effective anti-anxiety drug!

Anxiety and hypertension are the result of staying concerned by a non-fixable stress. If you cannot change it, DETACH! There is nothing to be gained by playing the broken record of worry.

Now, you must have air, water, food, clothing and shelter. If those necessities are available, focus on the broader spiritual world.

The answer to anxiety and hypertension is Holistic or spiritual, a sense of connection to something much bigger than one’s self. This includes the healing and transcendence of love, from others, from our self and from God.

It includes experiences of transcendence, moments beyond our immediate sensory system.

It includes the vital belief that gives meaning and hope.

It means having values centered in issues of justice, integrity and love, of hope, joy and oneness with the divine, freedom from grief, resentment, guilt, of trust in the awareness of oneness with other people, the natural world, and God.

Ultimately it is finding Meaning in life itself.

Ultimately, a Holistic approach to resolving anxiety and hypertension includes not only thinking but acting comprehensively in every aspect of life—thinking, living, doing, believing, and acting. It includes nutrition, exercise, sleeping, work, religion and thinking.

Interestingly, the word holistic was first used in a seminal book by Jan Smut, in 1926 in his book HOLISM and EVOLUTION, emphasizing that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts, and essentially that everything is part of the whole.

Every thought is a prayer. Thinking sets in motion spiritual forces to bring about change in body, mind, emotions, actions, companions, hope and despair.

Anxiety and hypertension are part of the whole of life and unique to each individual. Even twins have their individuality in many aspects of their lives, but they most often have essentially similar habits, and in general twins live longer than fraternal siblings.

The spiritual journey is not about being somebody else. It is about living your real self and evolving to be the best possible

Holistic spirituality is the practice or process of shifting consciousness from the external world to the inner, subtle one. By this, we shift our mind from the complexities and chaos of the world to the simplicity of inner peace, something that is maintained regardless of our external circumstances, life problems, or anything else. And this inner peace and stability helps create the solution to anxiety and hypertension.

Being at peace is the opposite of anxiety and is a major contributor to healthy, normal blood pressure.
