EXERCISE WITH OXYGEN THERAPY-(EWOT)

EXERCISE WITH OXYGEN THERAPY—EWOT
C. Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D.

EWOT or Exercise with Oxygen Therapy has been used primarily to assist individuals with chronic lung disease and somewhat with patients with heart disease. However, it is increasingly used to increase exercise tolerance and benefits. Air at sea level has approximately 21% oxygen. The concentration of air oxygen does not change with altitude but the amount of air essentially decreases. Thus at 12,000 feet, there is 40% less oxygen available. Most people acclimate to increased altitude by making more hemoglobin but many individuals develop headache, nausea and other symptoms even at 5000 feet above sea level.

For several decades EWOT has been used by a variety of athletes to improve their stamina. EWOT has many benefits:

  • Helps prevent age related diseases such as cancer, macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetes, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, ‘non healing’ wounds (and so much more!)
  • Increases oxygen concentration in red blood cells and plasma
  • Helps recover from stress
  • Slows or reverses aging
  • Increases the diameter of the capillaries
  • Helps recover from jet lag
  • Stimulates the Immune System
  • May reverse diabetic retinopathy
  • Reverses cataracts
  • Helps reverse senility
  • Helps reverse osteoarthritis
  • Helps reverse liver damage
  • Helps overcome infections
  • Improves recovery after stroke
  • Helps recovery from poisoning and radiation
  • Helps overcome arrhythmia
  • Improves dizziness of old age
  • Helps diabetes
  • Increases physical performance
  • Helps prevent cancer
  • Improves erectile dysfunction

Now, how to get it! I bought for $450 an excellent “reconditioned” generator of 95% oxygen from room air. Contact: optimalbreathing@breathing.com

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I use it 30 to 45 minutes daily during part of my exercise regime.
