Anxiety is a feeling of uncertainty, fear, and potential harm – of death, of abandonment by a loved one, loss of faith in God, being incapacitated, or of having inadequate money. If you are struggling with anxiety, pursuing a goal of becoming anxiety-free without a prescription is laudable. It may also be lifesaving.
Freeing yourself from anxiety can dramatically improve the quality of life because to some extent anxiety is the number one stress reaction and the foundation for all illness.
Every physical symptom is the effect of anxiety on specific organs or functions. Anxiety appears symptomatically as pain, wheezing, coughing, rashes, indigestion, rapid heartbeat, constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, confusion, difficulty with vision, nausea, numbness, weakness, incoordination, fatigue, urinary symptoms. Yes, all of these can come just from stress!
Fear of any one of these concerns may range from minor to severe on a sale of 0 to 10, and your average depends on how secure you felt in childhood! Fear and resultant anxiety may lead to anger, guilt, or depression and any significant degree of anxiety will lead potentially to any dysfunction. This is because the biochemistry of the body is affected.
Anxiety impacts your biochemistry.
Fear releases adrenalin and cortisone. These hormones raise your blood sugar, increase your pulse and blood pressure, and results in you feeling anxious.
Depending on your natural state of health this can cause any organ to develop symptoms. If you live in a constant state of anxiety, it becomes the cause of every known disease.
When you consistently struggle with anxiety, you may also notice other symptoms than those listed above. These other symptoms can include changes in your breathing, heart rate, muscle tightness, unsteadiness, tremors, weakness, depression, rashes and other immune dysfunctions.
These symptoms and your anxiety can be at least exacerbated if not caused by nutritional deficiencies, caffeine, excess or low blood sugar and toxins.
Obviously, being anxiety free is highly desirable. So how do you get there?
The place to start your journey to becoming anxiety free without pharmaceuticals is by addressing any nutritional deficiencies. Which means you start with your diet.
The essentials of a healthy diet include no sugar, adequate fruits, vegetables, protein and fat. A healthy diet will lead to a normal Body Mass Index (BMI) of 18 to 24.
Sugar, wheat, rice and potatoes are systemic stressors and should be avoided!
However, because our food is not as nutritious as it was at the beginning of the twentieth century, diet alone may not address your nutritional deficiencies. You may find that you need additional supplementation.
What we suggest for our patients struggling with anxiety is that they take the following:
- D 3
- B complex vitamins
- Vitamin C
- L-tryptophan – 4,000 to 7,000 mg daily
- Lithium orotate – 15 to 20 mg daily
- L-taurine – 3,000 to 6,000 mg daily
- Magnesium lotion – apply 2 teaspoons to the skin twice daily
- Palmitoyl ethanolamine (PEA) – 200 mg twice daily (PEA increases anandamide, the natural endocannabinoid.)
Next you need to shore up your essential habits to remove as many intrinsic physical stressors as possible. The essential habits you need to develop, if you don’t have them already, include no smoking, adequate physical activity (at least 30 minutes 5 times a week), and adequate sleep (7-8 hours).
Now that you know the basic habits, as you are working to develop them, there are other tools you can explore to help you become anxiety-free.
The single best way to be free of emotional stress is to train your brain to detach, using Autogenic Training eighteen minute twice a day for three months. Autogenic training is the most researched self-regulation technique and has helped countless people learn to train their brains to detach from anxious thoughts.
In fact, autogenic training helps more than 80% of people who consistently practice for the three months to be anxiety-free. And if it does not work adequately for you, you can use the Shealy-Sorin Gamma PEMF.
Shealy-Sorin Gamma PEMF®
Anxiety significantly disturbs the normal 70 millivolt (mv) charge on our body’s cells, making them hyperactive. The Shealy-Sorin Gamma PEMF® restores the normal 70 mv charge on your cells which results in you feeling more relaxed.
Ideally, you would use the Shealy-Sorin Gamma PEMF 2 to 8 hours daily. It is better than all mood drugs and totally safe. The only contraindication is an implanted pacemaker.
