Holism is the study and practice of the whole. It comes from the Greek word Holos, which includes both whole and holy.

Thus, love and spirituality are inseparable. For at least two thousand years love has included Eros (sexual love), Philia (friendship), and Agape (love of God and God’s love for all, or unconditional love). When you set about finding love, you will encounter everything from sexual obsession and needs-based love to unconditional love.

Each of the following quotes is worthy of deep meditation!

TRUE LOVE is a strong attraction that has no meaning and no fear. It is a soul connection.

One of the tragedies of the Renaissance was the exclusion of spirituality from medicine. Indeed, it was not even significantly reintroduced until 1978 when the American Holistic Medical Association was founded.

Spiritual attitude is a major factor in the life of everyone except atheists; and interestingly, atheistic denial is essentially a major spiritual belief!

At least a huge majority of disease is the result of spiritual distress, leading to anxiety and depression and ultimately to most illnesses!

If the CAUSE is spiritual, the solution must be HOLISTIC—the basic meaning of which is HOLY.

In general, with acute illness, conventional medicine is essential. When the problem becomes chronic, the requirement for a return to health is COMPREHENSIVE and HOLISTIC. There are many roads to Holism, but the foundation is addressing the basic spiritual crisis of anger, guilt, anxiety and depression. Whatever the cause, most of the time the solution is forgiving all those you believe harmed you, releasing them into the hands of God, and DETACHING from those things you cannot change. There are many supplemental electrical and alternative energetic tools, all of which have been the core of my holistic practice and remains so at Shealy-Sorin Wellness Institute.
