The Power of Brain Waves & Sound Technology

Reducing anxiety, managing pain, and improving cognitive function are as easy as listening to music.

Our brains operate on electricity – that is, the firing of electrical impulses (waves) between neurons in our brain.Brain waves are essentially a measurement of the electrical activity in the form of nerve impulses being sent to and received from different parts of your brain
This technology uses specific sound patterns to prompt your brain to produce binaural beats to help you move into desired brain states in meditation
Each BIOGENICS® Sound Wave exercise uses a proprietary combination of sound wave lengths to encourage your brain to move into a desired meditative state.
Control your brainwaves and you control your state of mind.

A State of the Art Sound Technology that Speaks the Languages of the Brain.

In BIOGENICS® participants will be introduced to Autogenics training, a well-researched state of the art technology that facilitates deep relaxation, sleep and pain management among other things.

BIOGENICS® Sound Waves, a scientifically and clinically researched “audio guidance” technology, creates specific sound patterns that lead the brain to various states of consciousness ranging from deep relaxation or sleep to creative and focused states.

When you hear two tones, one in each ear, that are slightly different in frequency, your brain processes a beat at the difference of the frequencies. This is called a binaural beat.

Binaural beats create the frequency needed for your brain to create the same waves commonly experienced during a meditation practice.

The use of binaural beats in this way is sometimes called brainwave entrainment technology.

How to Train your Brain Waves

Binaural beats are actually an auditory illusion that occurs when you play two tones of similar but not identical frequencies, one in each ear (binaural means relating to both ears).

The brain wants to reconcile the two sounds, so what you end up perceiving is actually a third tone that’s the difference between the two, an illusion produced in the brainstem.

For example, if a 400 hertz (Hz) tone and a 410 Hz tone were played into your left and right ears, respectively, you would perceive a 10 Hz rhythmic pulse — the binaural beat.

The brain has billions of neurons, and each individual neuron connects (on average) to thousands of others.

Communication happens between them through small electrical currents that travel along the neurons and throughout enormous networks of brain circuits. When all these neurons are activated they produce electrical pulses – visualize a wave rippling through the crowd at a sports arena – this synchronized electrical activity results in a “brainwave”. Here are the 4 most common brain waves and what are they affect:

Beta Brain Waves

Beta waves run at 13 Hz to 30 Hz Awake, Normal, Alert, Consciousness, Concentration
Beta brain waves are easiest to detect when we’re busy thinking actively.

Alpha Brain Waves

Alpha waves run at 8 Hz to 12 Hz Relaxation, Reset, Recharge, & Best for Stress Management
Alpha brain waves are easiest to detect when you are at rest or relaxing peacefully. Alpha is your neutral if you were driving a stick-shift.

Theta Brain Waves

Theta waves are 4 Hz to 7 Hz
Dreaming, Sleep, REM, Increased Creativity, Increase of Catecholamines (vital for learning & memory)
Theta brainwaves are strongly detectable when we’re dreaming in our sleep, but they can also be seen during deep meditation and daydreaming. Research has also shown a positive association of theta waves with memory, creativity, and psychological well-being.

Delta Brain Waves

Up to 4Hz
Dreamless Sleep, Human Growth Hormone Released, Loss of Body Awareness, Trance
These are the slowest of all brainwaves and are strongest when we are enjoying restorative sleep in a dreamless state. This is also the state where healing and rejuvenation are stimulated, which is why it’s so crucial to get enough sleep each night.

Gamma Brain Waves

Gamma waves are 31 Hz to 100 Hz Heightened perception, Higher learning, Cognitive processing
Gamma brainwaves are the fastest measurable EEG brainwaves and have been equated to ‘heightened perception’, or a ‘peak mental state’ when there is simultaneous processing of information from different parts of the brain. Gamma brainwaves have been observed to be much stronger and more regularly observed in very long-term meditators including Buddhist Monks.
Meditation allows our minds to move through these states leading us to a healthy lifestyle. When we control our brainwaves, we control how we think, feel, reason and react.
Relaxation, creativity and self-awareness flow naturally. As we mediate, our physical health improves as we move closer and closer to a healthy lifestyle. Consciously controlling our brainwaves is a step towards healthy living.
