ALLERGIES & THE COCA TEST

C. Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D.

Unquestionably it is the most accurate way to test for allergies. To make it simple, check your pulse before you get out of bed. Then check it 30 and 60 minutes after each meal. If your pulse goes up 10 points or more when you are not exercising moderately, you are allergic to something (or in poor condition). Now if you are on a beta blocker, your pulse may not respond!

Diseases of allergy are:

Recurrent headache

Nervousness

Migraine

Dizziness

Constipation

Canker sores

Heartburn

Epilepsy

Overweight

Underweight

Irritability

Gastric ulcer

Abdominal pain

Gastric pain

Nervous and emotional

Instability (neurasthenia)

Abnormal tiredness

Indigestion (vomiting, gas, nausea)

Neuralgia

Sinusitis

Hypertension

Hives

Heart attacks (angina)

Asthma

Hemorrhoids

Psychic depression

Diabetes

Chest pain

Gastro-intestinal bleeding

Conjunctivitis

Nosebleed

Colitis

In other words, allergies lead to inflammation, irritation and can cause or aggravate essentially any illness. I trust the Cocoa test over all others for determining allergies. Once you know you have an allergy, it may take a week or two to determine which food is causing the problem. I suggest you read the complete test in the book, as it does require more than the simple version I mentioned above to work out the total food allergens BUT IT IS WELL WORTHWHILE! Incidentally, if your pulse is consistently, at rest, above 76, either you are in terrible physical condition (couch potato) or you have something wrong. It could be allergens in the atmosphere. And remember that caffeine raises the pulse up to 36 hours! Nicotine is a shorter pulse stimulator.

The most common allergens are wheat/gluten, milk products, eggs, citrus, peanuts, almonds, cashews, soy, fish and shellfish, yeast, chocolate and molds. If it is molds, be sure to look in the archives at THIEVES.

Another book which all of us need to read for ourselves and our families:

HAPPINESS IS GROWING OLD AT HOME by Maria Tadd, available at Amazon! Personally if I become unable to take care of myself, I want to go in a spare room, lock the door and turn on Gregorian Chants until I am gone. For those who want all the best alternatives, I recommend Maria’s book!
