5 Things You Need To Know About Getting Off Anti-Anxiety Medication

image002

As with ALL mood drugs, anti-anxiety drugs create far more problems and help virtually NONE! And, when you are ready, getting off anti-anxiety medication is one of the problems

Number one:

So called “side effects” include depression, disinhibition, difficulty thinking, decreased libido, decreased IQ, poor coordination, uncontrollable anger and violence, increased risk of suicide, memory loss, low blood pressure and increased risk of stroke, nausea, cardiac problems, increased pulmonary hypertension and fatal lung disease, addiction and dependency so you need more and more of the poison, increased risk of bleeding, anxiety, seizures, psychosis, hypersensitivity, gastrointestinal problems, and insomnia!

Number two:

Withdrawal can be a nightmare, with switching from one poison to another, etc. To many extents getting off anti-anxiety medication is worse than getting off alcohol, cigarettes/cigars/tobacco, and opioids. Virtually never do anti-anxiety drugs produce happiness or significantly improved mental function.

The only possible good effect is ultimately getting off the crud.

Number three:

Getting off anti-anxiety medication can take months of careful weaning, meanwhile, you can help yourself by practicing Autogenic training at least 18 minutes twice daily. And 30 minutes of any moderate exercise is far safer and more effective than Valium or any anti-anxiety drug!

Other assistants are daily use of magnesium lotion or soaking in a bath with 3 cups of magnesium chloride. Adequate B complex can help, up to 100 mg daily. And L-taurine, 1000 mg six times daily is infinitely safer and more effective than any anti-anxiety drug.

Other safe and more effective natural anti-anxiety supplements include L-tryptophan, lithium orotate, ashwagandha, yogi tea, Kava Kava, Omega 3 fish oils, lavender oil, chamomile, passionflower, lemon balm, SAM-e, saffron, curcumin, probiotics, GABA, L-theanine, St. John’s Wort, Valerian root, and CBD oil.

Number four:

Interestingly, acupuncture can be remarkably effective in decreasing the need for anti-anxiety medication. Electrical stimulation with the Cranial Electrical Stimulator works remarkably well, as does the Shealy RelaxMate, a photo stimulator, listening to great music such as Gregorian chants in general, and best of all is the Shealy-Sorin Gamma PEMF®.

Additionally, body work and no needle acupuncture are also effective in getting off anti-anxiety medications. Massage by a good massage therapist is highly relaxing for body and mind and the Accu-Massage unit is deeply relaxing. Fire Bliss applied to its 12 points raises the anti-stress hormone DHEA and Air Bliss applied to its 13 points raises oxytocin, the nurturing and bonding hormone. Other ways to increase DHEA include Eugesterone cream, Shealy-Sorin Youth Formula and magnesium lotion.

Number five:

In general psychiatry fails miserably at treating anxiety and it can lead to dangerous consequences in treating anxiety. Conventional psychology is usually a better choice for support in getting off anti-anxiety drugs since it does not include useless and dangerous drugs!

The best solution to getting off anti-anxiety medication is never to start them!

The holistic approach used at the Shealy-Sorin Wellness Institute has worked with 35,000 individuals. Under no circumstance do we use any mood drugs. At the core of our therapy is BIOGENICS™, the origin of life-enhancing strategies to retrain body, mind and soul.

The BiogenicsTM Course contains 68 different mental, emotional, spiritual exercises that deal with mental, emotional, physical and spiritual issues. Any one of these exercises is far superior to all emotional drugs combined.

As a simple experience of what is at the core of the BiogenicsTM Course, just repeat to yourself in your mind quietly these phrases: My arms feel free and easy; my abdomen is warm; my forehead is cool; my mind is quiet and still; I am at peace. Most people begin to relax even with one repetition. Do it 18 times and revel in the anti-anxiety phrases.

Or try the Émil Coué phrase: “Every day in every way I am better and better.” Or “Every thought is a prayer.” Thinking sets in motion spiritual forces to bring about change in body, mind, emotions, companions, hopes and despair.

Other BiogenicsTM exercises that are anti-anxiety include:

  • Breathing Through The Skin;
  • Transforming Challenges Into Opportunities;
  • Collect And Release;
  • Happiness Is An Inside Job;
  • Meeting Your Personal Angel;
  • Heal My Beloved Heal;
  • Gamma Instrumentation;
  • Will Power;
  • Zen;
  • Age Regression;
  • Pain Relief;
  • Detachment;
  • Relaxation And Meditation;
  • Spiritual Enlightenment;
  • Rainbow Energy Balancing;
  • Wise Person Attunement;
  • Progressive Relaxation;
  • Honoring My Body;
  • Tolerance, Forgiveness And Blessing;
  • Who Am I?;
  • Freedom From Alcohol.

Laughing meditation is another winner because laughter naturally decreases stress hormones. Just start pretending laughter and often it becomes spontaneous.

These exercises and the various safe, effective electrical devices mentioned above, proper nutritional support and our experienced staff provide the perfect atmosphere for recovering from anxiety and all chronic problems.

Whatever you decide to try to get off anti-anxiety medication, know that there are holistic options. If one does not help as much as you would like, try another. There is no one way to control or diminish anxiety, however, it is possible for you to find your way.

Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D. is the father of holistic medicine. Dr. Sergey Sorin is a holistic physician as well as the CEO and medical director of the Shealy-Sorin Wellness Institute. Both doctors recommend autogenic focus (the basis of the Biogenics System) as part of your overall commitment to self-health and enhancing your positivity.
