5 Activities to Help with Depression

Most articles about activities to help with depression cover things like walking and spending time in nature. Although these activities can help, we know that the most beneficial activities do more than help. They can heal much more effectively than all the drugs, psychiatrists and psychologists in the world!

And healing is important for two humongous reasons:

  1. Depression is a major cause of suicide.
  2. All antidepressant drugs are worse than the depression itself!

So how do you heal from depression? By taking the holistic approach. It is infinitely more effective.

The following are the activities for depression that we recommend to all our patients who are struggling with it.
  1. Tried-and-true supplementation.

    For almost 50 years, we have recommended a combination of tryptophan 6 to 7 grams, B complex 50mg and lithium orotate 10 to 20 mg daily.
  2. Additional supplementation.

    Another excellent approach is the use of palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) 600 mg twice daily. Palmitoylethanolamide raises anandamide the natural cannabinoid that the body produces. It is also known as the Bliss hormone.
  3. Train your brain.

    Of course everything is the result of thinking. Thinking sets in motion spiritual forces to bring about change in body, mind, emotions, companions, hopes and despair. Every thought is a prayer, and you cannot afford the harm of negative thinking! In fact, every word you think impacts everything in your life! So it just makes sense that correct thinking is one of the best activities to help with depression.
